The background

What was it like with user interfaces in the past? Requirements for user interfaces (UIs) and the way they are developed have changed significantly in recent years. In short, we have evolved from completely overloaded UIs to simple and self-explanatory UIs. The background to this is the change from a product-centric to a user-centric model. While in the past almost only the pure functions of a software were decisive, today there is much more to the user experience. Today, the focus is on people as users. It is not the person who has to "somehow get along" with the user interface, but the product must be useful to the user. Users must achieve their needs, requirements, tasks and goals. The software must be easy to use and fun to use.

What do we carry out?

There are defined and standardised principles for a good user experience (ISO 9241-110 and ISO 9241-210). We examine the information architecture and find application errors that disrupt the user experience. So we go deep into the product itself. To do this, we analyse the context of the users, their goals and user flows. We examine how efficiently these flows and goals are achieved with the existing software. This is not so much an analysis of the graphical components or the aesthetics. Although this also flows into the user experience, it should be about an in-depth analysis of the usability and experience of your product.

The analysis of the current state leads to improvement measures that we provide you with as part of the consultation. Some of these can be quick fixes that you can implement immediately. But they can also be fundamental redesign measures to improve your digital products. In a results session, we will illustrate the results. Of course, you will also receive a detailed written version of the results as well as our suggestions. Afterwards, you are completely free to take further steps.
